Neapolitan Brick Pizza Oven Kit
This is a phenomenal brick pizza oven kit. Made completely by hand by father and son just outside of Napoli, Italy.
Most pizza ovens you will see these days are either pre-cast from refractory castables or - if they are assembled - they weight a ton, like our own Portuguese brick ovens at 1400 lb. Pre-cast kits do not have the same looks as a real rustic brick oven and the pre-assembled brick ovens are not always an option if your location is not easily accessible. How do you get a real brick oven without having to lift a real brick oven?
Our Neapolitan brick pizza oven kit is the answer: it's got both inward and outward beauty! This kit is very unique in that instead of being pre-cast it's hand-made from bricks and divided into 4 modules for easy assembly. You can carry it piece by piece and install it in backyards not otherwise accessible to heavy brick ovens. Another big advantage is its larger size: 40" internal cooking area. And finally... the quality of this oven is phenomenal! Very carefully crafted, very thick walls, no gaps, no cracks. Brick core, chicken wire, overlaid with high quality fireclay refractory. Floor is made from volcanic material. We have raving feedback on this oven's performance, it can produce batches of real Neapolitan pizza in 90 sec. One customer has reported that his oven stays warm 5 days after being fired up.
The oven comes with a simple steel door. Door opening is 16" wide at the bottom. The dome comes in 4 pieces. Floor is 2" thick. You will never see such a thick dome on any other pizza oven kit, 6" in some places. Over the door the oven has a rectangular opening for the chimney. You can use a clay chimney or a steel one. If you wish to use a regular 6" steel chimney the best way to connect it is with a matching chimney anchor plate widely available online - simply twist-lock your chimney to it.
In order to finish the oven you will need to insulate it both under the floor (hearth) and over the dome. High quality ceramic fiber insulation is included: boards for the floor and blankets for the dome.
We have 3 documented projects with this oven on our US website: assembly pictures (after you click please scroll down to find these projects, as some of the projects show our other kit: Volta, also available in Canada).
Last but not least: the Neapolitan kit is our favorite oven!
